I have little doubt that Campbell can be a "plus" ILB in a simple system. He will be quite good for the 49ers next year.
I really don't care for his comments, but I'm sure he echoes a lot of the locker room in regards to the Joe Barry defense. Hopefully that changes under Hafley.

Campbell has made negative comments about the other teams he left. Assume he does not remember his only All-Pro tag came in GB. Was not a fan of Joe Barry and his defensive philosophy but Campbell should look at his own tape. He has definitely slowed down and he did not play well last year. Oh and don't forget as a "veteran leader" he was the guy who stated he would not play hurt. Oh well he will not be the last guy who blames his old team when his play declines.
In yesterday’s JS there was an article about De’vondre Campbell losing his love for football because of the Green Bay Packers organization and its coaching staff….If I remember right he was given a big contract here..like 50MM for 5 years….but according to the article he’s rediscovered his love out in SF……I’m really happy for the ungrateful bass turd
So I see Zach Tom also tore his pec muscle lifting weights. Looks like he tore his earlier than Kraft. This is normally a 8-12 week type recovery. Both are important guys on this offense and should be ready for camp.
Some good news is Enagbare was a full participant yesterday. They originally thought he tore is ACL against the Cowboys and would not be available until late in the year. He was a solid back-up/edge guy last year and should be even better now in year 3. Really a nice depth piece for the defense. Will be interesting to see how Gary, Smith, Van Ness..Engabare (and others) transition to the new 4-3 defense

Despite last years late season success, this team is still really young. I would expect we will see some more growing pains early on this year also. But I also expect that things will come together alot sooner than it did last year. Fans just need to continue being patient.
#10 did pretty good towards the last part of season. Eagles in Brazil is not my idea of a game, but at least our players don’t have to put up with the Eagles fans! Them fans are Rabid! Tough place to play. Don’t know if we will get off to a good start this year, but keeping my hopes high! I still think the Offense will start off pretty good(Lots of work to do), but Defense might start slow, which I hope doesn’t happen. They will be better than last year. IMO.
